Lonar Crater was created by a meteorite collision impact during the Pleistocene Epoch. It is the only crater in the world created in Basalt rock which is the hardest rock. It is Asia’s largest and world’s 3rd largest meteorite crater.
We, as Unnayan Tours are exploring Lonar Crater and around since 2009 as well as spreading awareness about the scientific, historical and astronomical aspects of Lonar Crater.

To reach the water of Lonar Crater, we need to descend around 500 feet consisting steps and walking on a muddy road. People with high blood pressure, asthma should consult a doctor before joining this tour.
